Study on W-band Sheet Electron Beam Sine Waveguide Traveling-Wave Tube

  • A novel sine waveguide slow-wave structure was proposed for sheet electron beam traveling-wave tube. Its dispersion and radio frequency transmission characteristics were calculated in W-band. The electromagnetic wave amplification capability based on interaction between sheet electron beam and slow wave was gained through particle-in-cell method. The investigation results show that, the sheet electron beam sine waveguide travelingwave tube can produce more than 100 W from 85GHz to 102GHz with a voltage of 20.3kV and a beam current of 150mA.
