Linear MIMO Transceivers Design with Weighted MMSE Criterion

  • With the assumption of perfect Channel state information (CSI) at both ends of wireless link, an optimal MIMO transceivers design with weighted Minimum mean-square error (MMSE) criterion, subject to sum power constraint, is investigated in this paper. Although this problem has been studied in a previous publication, we will show that their solution is optimal only after certain preliminary conditions have been accepted. To fix this gap, new structures of precoder and decoder matrices, as well as an optimal closed-form solution, are derived in this paper. Numerical experiment results demonstrate the effectiveness and robustness of our proposed method.
