Abstract
This study designs and demonstrates a miniaturized integrated passive device (IPD) low-pass filter (LPF) and two high-pass filters (HPF) based on transformer theory. These filters utilize advanced transformer theory, employing the mutual coupling between the inductors and capacitors to achieve high-frequency selectivity, while maintaining a low insertion loss within the passband. During the design process, the optimization of the overall layouts and the structures of inductors is performed to miniaturize the filters, catering to the size and performance requirements of modern electronic devices. The performances of both the LPF and HPFs are thoroughly validated through detailed simulation and experimental results, demonstrating their excellent frequency response and filtering characteristics. These miniaturized and integrated on-chip IPD filters hold promising applications in wireless communi-cation, RF front-end, and other electronic fields.
