VIRTUAL ISSUE: NATURAL LANGUAGE PROCESSING

Recently, ChatGPT, a natural language processing model developed by OpenAI, once made headlines and gradually began to emerge in many industries, and many people began to feel that it is not just a dialogue tool on the surface, but a real artificial intelligence that can create productivity. The success of ChatGPT is inseparable from the rapid development of large-scale Pre-trained Language Model (PLM) represented by BERT and GPT. In the last few years, these models have had a lot of success in the large field of natural language processing (NLP). This virtual issue focuses on natural language processing, featuring eight articles in this broad field, covering topics such as text classification, named entity recognition (NER), POS tagging, question answering models, and BERT applications to bioinformatics.
